Porting your phone number has never been easier

Fed up with your current phone company?

Here's what you need to switch.

Verizon Postpaid – Your Verizon account number is at the top of your bill. Verizon’s account numbers end in -00001. Your Verizon passcode is the number you use when you call customer care. To get your Verizon account number or reset your Verizon passcode, you can call 1-800-837-4966. When switching from Verizon you must request a “porting pin”. The company you are switching to will need one. You can also request this information at www.verizonwireless.com/login

Verizon Prepaid – To get you Verizon account number, you will need to call 1-800-922-0204 and request it. Ask for technical support to get an operator on the line. Your Verizon passcode is the last 4-digits of your phone number, unless you have changed it. 

T-Mobile Postpaid – Your T-Mobile account number is on the top of your bill. You can also call 1-800-937-8997 and request your account number. Ask for an operator several times until you get an actual person. T-Mobile uses a passcode or password. Reset your T-Mobile passcode/password prior to porting if you do not know what it is. 

T-Mobile Prepaid – Your T-Mobile account number is your 10-digit account number, with the number 1 in front of it. Your 4-digit pin is what you setup when creating the account. To reset your 4-digit pin call 1-877-453-1304. Ask for technical support and reset passcode. 

AT&T Postpaid – Your AT&T account number is at the top right-hand corner of bill. Passcode is the 4 to 8-digit number you use for verification, when calling customer care. To reset your AT&T passcode or if you do not have a bill. From your AT&T phone call 611, to reset passcode use the automation and say, “reset passcode”. For your account number say, “operator” 2 – 3 times to speak to an actual person. 

AT&T Prepaid – Your AT&T account number can be obtained by going into a store and working with a representative. You may also call the Number Transfer Request line 1-888-898-7685. Your passcode can be reset at www.paygonline.com, click “reset passcode”. 

Straight Talk – Your Straight account number is your phone’s IMEI or MEID number. This is found in the “About” section of your settings. If purchased your phone outside of Straight Talk. Your Straight Talk account number is your SIM card number. Your Straight Talk passcode can be found online in your Personal Profile, under Current Security Pin. Or you can call 1-877-430-2355 to reset your passcode. 

Boost Mobile – Your Boost Mobile account number is not listed online. You will have to go into a store and work with a representative or call 1-888-266-7848. Select “Technical Issues” and listen to all the options. After options are listed, wait for an operator. Request your account number for tax purposes. Your 4-digit passcode will be required. If you need to reset passcode, reset it prior to asking for account number. 

Cricket Wireless – Your Cricket Wireless account online or by calling 1-866-351-7678 (option 2). Your passcode is the authorization ID that you set up when activating your account. To reset your passcode go to www.cricketwirless.com/login and select “forgot passcode”. You may also reset your passcode and obtain your account number by going into a store and speaking to a representative. 

Consumer Cellular – Your Consumer Cellular account number can be obtained by calling 1-888-750-5519. For your account passcode, you can use the last 4 of the account holders SSN. When asking for your account number, explain to Consumer Cellular that you recently move and no longer have coverage where you live.

Metro PCS – Your Metro PCS account number can be found on your online account. Your account number is the 9-digit number displayed on the confirmation text you receive after making a payment. Your passcode can be reset by calling 1-888-863-8768 and asking to “reset passcode”. 

Mint Mobile – Your Mint Mobile account number and passcode can be obtained by calling 1-800-683-7392. If you do not know your account passcode, reset that first. Call say, “reset passcode”. Once you have successfully reset your passcode, call back and ask for your account information. Explain that you need your account number for tax purposes. 

Freedom Pop – Your Freedom Pop account number is your 10-digit phone number. To reset your Freedom Pop password go to www.my.freedompop.com/login and click “reset password”. 

H2O Wireless – Your H2O Wireless account number is your sim card number. You will need to call 1-800-562-3229 and request H2O to release your phone number for porting. You can request your H2O account number and account pin. 

Kroger Wireless – Your Kroger account number is your 10-digit phone number. You Kroger Wireless passcode is the 4 to 8-digt pin you set up when activating.  To reset passcode, call 1-866-434-7796 for customer service. 

Magic Jack – Your Magic Jack account number is displayed on your online account at www.magicjack.com, your pin is also your online password. To reset your Magic Jack password click “forgot password”. 

Net10 – Your Net10 account number is the IMEI or MEID number fund in the “About” section of the settings in your phone. You may also call 1-877-836-2368 to reset your Net10 passcode and obtain your account number. 

Page Plus – Your Page Plus account number is your 10-digit phone number. Your passcode is the last 4-digits of your phone number. If you reset your passcode at some point call 1-800-550-2436 and reset passcode. 

Red Pocket – Your Red Pocket account number can be obtained by speaking with an operator at 1-712-775-8777. If you have a hard time getting an operator on the phone request, “technical support” until your get a person on the phone. You can reset your Red Pocket password at www.redpocket.com/login and click “reset password”. 

Tello – For you Tello account number, you need to call 1-866-377-0294 and request your account number. Tello does not use passcodes. When porting, use the last 4 of your telephone number if one is required. 

Total Wireless – Your Total Wireless account number is your phone’s IMEI or MEID number. This is found in the “About” section of your settings. If purchased your phone outside of Total Wireless, you will need to call 1-866-663-3633 and request your account number. Total Wireless does not use passcodes. When porting, use the last 4 of your telephone number if one is required. 

TracFone – Your TracFone account number is our phone’s IMEI or MEID number. This is found in the “About” section of your settings. If purchased your phone outside of TracFone, you will need to call 1-800-867-7183 and request your account number. If you do not know your TracFone passcode, you can reset it using the same phone. You must call TracFone and request your phone to be released for porting. 

US Cellular – Your US Cellular account number is at the top of your online account. Go to www.uscellular.com/login. Your US Cellular passcode is the last 4-digits of your phone number.
